Michigan Central Reopening
Detroit’s iconic Michigan Central Station, beautifully restored after years of renovation, is alive again—and Charlie B. Keyz was right at the center of the action! He recently hosted a special showcase featuring the Urban Art Orchestra, Detroit gospel artist Kevin Stewart, and local talents like Katrina Carson and Johdi.
Part of The Jam Detroit series, the event brought an evening of music, art, and community to the newly reopened historic space, giving families and friends a chance to experience Detroit’s vibrant creative scene firsthand. Charlie and co-host Arnesia led the night, making it a celebration of live music and Detroit culture.

Sofar Sound's Feature

The Voice Of Detroit
This past Saturday, Charlie B. Keyz had the honor of performing at Hart Plaza in Detroit alongside his friend and incredible vocalist Demario Adams-Holiday, a former contestant on The Voice. Being asked to be part of this event was an amazing opportunity for Charlie to showcase his talents.
Not only did Charlie provide backing vocals, but he also played keys, adding depth and energy to the live set as they opened for Michel’le. Alongside Charlie were NaTasha Williams and Jonni Kakashi, forming a dynamic ensemble that captivated the crowd—even drawing smiles from some of the most serious audience members.
The night was a true celebration of friendship, skill, and stage chemistry, leaving fans with an unforgettable experience.

Detroit's Black Bottom Returns
Jp One, Charlie B. Keyz, NecieSings, and Verzell sponsored and held the First Black Bottom Block Party Festival at the Detroit Historical Museum. This Event was quite a big success and was Feature in both the Metro Times and Deadline Detroit with a turnout of more than 800 people in attendance.
Detroiters came to support local black businesses owners, and black independent artist and to enjoy the culture of what Black Bottom Paradise Valley Detroit would have been today.

Charlie's Portrait
Charlie has long since been working to complete his EP Portrait,
he says "Being An independent Artist gives you the flexibility, of your own creativity but does not make it easy for production and getting everything complete on time."
Portrait is a short Synopsis of his life over the past 7 years. Relationships , Life, and finding leveled ground, even finding forgiveness. Portrait plans to bring so much color and emotion behind the concept of self-growth and being able to move forward.
The Ideal Release of this EP is in January of 2017, but make sure to stay tuned.
